I have been seeing Ron for over 6 years now and he has helped me through a lot of ups and downs - work stress, generalised anxiety and most recently becoming a first time mum. I have never felt more listened to and understood, and it is most definitely a welcoming and safe space for me to vent my feelings and most importantly to understand why I feel the the emotions that I feel in certain situations. I have grown as a person and could not be more grateful for finding Ron. He commands a calm and safe space that I feel happy and relaxed in speaking about my issues. I look forward to more growth over the years. I know that seeking therapy can be daunting and you definitely have to find the right person - I am grateful Ron is that person for me. Thank you Ron from the bottom of my heart

Ron has held a safe space that i have needed this year. I feel heard and understood. Very grateful that i have found Ron who will continue to be present when moving forward.The space at Scarborough Beach Counselling is a welcoming and calm place. It is a nook on a hill that continues to provide and give to all.

I'm sincerely grateful to have been connected with Ron. He is a wonderful and kind-natured person who puts a lot of effort into the work he does, and it is clear that he genuinely cares for people. My time with Ron has been highly beneficial and fulfilling, as he has brought many insights to my world and gently helped me through my pain and challenges, all the while providing a space where I feel heard and accepted for who I am. Not only has Ron contributed to my quality of life, but his compassion, dedication and high level of skill and understanding are an inspiration to me, as I want to help people who struggle with their mental wellbeing, and I watch Ron make such a positive difference in this way every time I see him - his name is the one that comes to mind when there is someone I know who is in need of support. Ron is great at holding space in our sessions. I feel heard and understood by him, and he has helped me to further understand myself in the process. His presence and nature is comforting and gentle which allows me to feel safe throughout seeing him. I've gained a lot from our sessions and I highly recommend him as a therapist to anyone needing support.

Ron guided me through a rough 6 month period. He did this so effectively that I have since referred two other friends to this practice.Holding a non judgmental, empathic space - It's clear that Ron truly cares for his patient's mental wellbeing, and stands out amongst the other practitioners I have engaged with in the past.I'll continue to see Ron, even when I don't 'have' to :)

I highly recommend Beverley Able and anyone looking / thinking about seeing a Councillor for whatever reason they wish :-)I started seeing Bev a little over two years ago at the age of 28 just for a chat, and have seen her weekly since.To say the experience has been life changing would be an understatement !!!I have never found anyone to be so relaxed, caring & understanding for "everything" and "anything" I throw at her.Bev has taught me that the world is definitely working for us and not against us.1. My wife thinks its the best thing I have done !!2. My mates have noticed me develop and become a better mate !!3. And work has never been better $$ !!I will be rocking up to Bev's door for as long as she will have me ha.Cheers Bev - Keep up the great work ... & make sure my weekly spot stays available :-)#Highly Recommend

I have been extremely lucky to have been seeing Ron now for, I think, 5 years.He has assisted me to understand and be myself, after many years of an abusive marriage where I almost completely lost my sense of self.He has an ability to guide you to your own answers .After severe depression and anxiety I continue to grow with his care and insight.Highly recommend

When i first spoke to RON about finding the real me, i knew i could trust him straight away from the tone in his voice. He made me feel calm and relaxed. I have now been telling my story for over six months and feel so much better. RON has always listened intently, without judgement and has offered me some life changing advice. He is a good person, with real life values.

Ron is a natural at his chosen profession.He has a lovely warm comforting manner. He has taught me to listen to my feelings and ask "is that what I really want?"He seems to ask the right questions! Over the years i have tried many different psychologist and Ron by far is the most welcoming. He as the ability to make me feel at ease and able to talk freely without any judgement. I have broken more barriers in the 6 months ive been seeing Ron than i have in the last 10 years. The setting of the rooms are also very comforting. You are walking into a home not a clinic. I would highly recommend Ron and the Scarborough beach clinic

Beverley has been a great help in easing my transition into first time motherhood and managing my pre-existing anxiety and the extra anxiety that comes along with becoming a parent.
